I make other stuff, too.

Much of my photography is personal, however some have been used as as advertising.

Besides that, I also dabble in audio production.

September 2025: Chicago Indie Games Showcase (CIGS) posters

Typographical explorations created as part of my coursework. The event in question is hosted by the nonprofit Indie City Games, who co-creates Back Alley Games.

These posters were never actually printed.

Inspiration and Process

For the first poster, my inspiration is mainly old Marlboro advertising, especially the recognizable “Marlboro Reds” package. As the event is acronymized as “CIGS,” this seemed an obvious direction to take.

The third image is by Yuliana Aguila Perez, sourced from flickr.

For the second, I leaned on a retro, arcade aesthetic with purple, blue, and yellow as the main colors. I attempted to make the poster evoke a neon sign.

March 2025: SUper Indie City Konsole Event advertising

Advertisements created to market a gallery showcase with a retro video game aesthetic. The photos were all taken and edited by me, with text added by Sebastian Galvez and Jonah Lillioja from Indie City Games.

The first and third advertisements were distributed on social media, the second in Back Alley Games issue 13 (March 2025).

Inspiration

This campaign was modeled on video game advertising of the 1990s, especially in print.

Process

These photos were taken digitally, then edited to add noise and grain to mimic old magazine advertising.

October 2025: Back Alley Games social media campaign

These advertisements were created start to finish by me, and were distributed on Instagram and Reddit as part of Back Alley Games’ end of year subscriber push.

The portion with the trowel and magazines were imposed on a background of similar soil, then the text was added later in Adobe InDesign.
